Apple iPadOS16の新機能Stage Managerは、複数の重なり合うウィンドウと完全な外部ディスプレイのサポートにより、マルチタスクを可能にします。
Appleは今月iPadOS16をすべてのユーザーにリリースする予定ですが、Stage Managerで不具合が発生し不安定だと、開発者たちがレポートしています。

MacRumorsによると、開発者のSteve Troughton-Smith氏とMacStoriesの編集長Federico Viticci氏は、iPadOS16ベータ版のStage Managerでさまざまな不具合が発生し不安定であることについてレポート。

– Rotated my iPad and the dock was gone
– Black borders around windows
– The keyboard freezes in apps like Mail and @theSpringApp after opening new windows

Viticci氏によると、具体的には、 iPadを回転させたらドックがなくなった 、ウィンドウの周りに黒い境界線が表示される、メールやアプリなどでキーボードがフリーズする、ウィンドウのサイズを変更したところ顔が大きくなるなどの不具合が発生。

またTroughton-Smith氏によると、タイトルバーをドラッグしてウィンドウを移動すると、そのドラッグイベントがアプリ自体にも送信され、スワイプして戻ると競合するとのことです。
AppleはiPadOS16が10月にリリースされると述べており、MacRumorsは、ベータ版はiPadOS16.1というラベルが付けられているため、iPhone用のiOS16.1と一緒にリリースされる可能性があると伝えています。
